The crew from Lights Out And Dance and Best Silent Disco are thrilled to present the next instalment of our signature community dancing event, Silent Disco Under the Stars.
Dancing on the lands of the Yugambeh peoples, we recognise and respect their continuing connections to the lands and waters, and in doing so commit to extending that respect to caring for country during our event.
Silent Disco Under the Stars is growing into the Gold Coast’s favourite dancing event in which the entire community can come together to share the joy of dancing. With the support of Active and Healthy Gold Coast, we’re beyond proud to bring this unique experience to you and the whole Gold Coast community. 🏖️🎶
With some events seeing more than 200 people joining us these events are a real testament to the power and joy of taking some time to indulge in extraordinary nights of dancing magic.
Here’s everything you need to know ✨🌟
STRICTLY ALCOHOL & DRUG FREE
This event is alcohol, drug and dickhead-free, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all ages.

CHECK-IN
Arrive by 6:45 PM to have your tickets scanned and headsets issued. We’ll be ready to party at 7:00 PM.
PAPERLESS EVENT
Don’t worry about printing tickets, just have the QR code in your email saved to your photos and we can scan on arrival. We will also have a guest list of all bookings.
YOUR HEADSETS
Check out our instructional video on how to use the headsets. Whilst we will provide instructions on changing channels when you are issued your headset, it would be great if you got familiar prior to the event.
Headsets must not be taken away from the event.
DANCE AREA
We will have our dance marked out with cube lights. Please ensure that you stay within this area and do not take our headsets away from the event, or into the water.
CHILDREN
The event crew are just that, event crew. All children must be accompanied by an adult General Admission ticketholder. Please do not drop children off and leave them unattended.
GLITTER AND FACE PAINT – SORRY, IT’S A NO GO!
Face paint and glitter is unfortunately not allowed, sorry!
Whilst we would love to see faces adorned with delightful face painting, it plays absolute havoc with our headsets. Anyone with face paint and/or glitter in their hair will NOT receive their headsets.
CLOTHING
Wear comfy clothing as our DJ’s are going to get you dancing up a hot and sweaty storm! and bring a jacket for when things cool down.
LOCATION

TOILETS
There are public toilets located directly beside our event in the park.
PARKING
There is parking along the esplanade close to the event but keep in mind the location is popular due to number of hotels, bars and restaurants close by so parking can be limited so give yourself enough time to find a park. There is also parking in The Oasis Shopping Centre (click here for google map directions).
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
MUSIC
Three music channels will be offered, Red, Green and Blue. If you don’t like a song, simply change the channel!
Our event DJs will deliver live tunes from all genres and decades straight to your ears on their separate channel, and the third channel will be a carefully curated playlist of dancing hits to keep everyone dancing for the two hours.
WHAT TO BRING / PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Water is a must. We plan on keeping you dancing non-stop for a solid 2 hours, so please stay hydrated. Please note our dancing space is strictly NO GLASS dance space. Any glass bottles spotted will be removed by the event staff.
We do not offer storage for personal belongings, so you will be responsible for your belongings.
PHOTOS
Our crew will be capturing the magic of the event via video and photos, so if you see them, make sure you bust out the flashiest, most animated and epic daggy dance moves you can do!

BEHAVIOUR
We have a strict No Dickheads policy!
We are so fortunate to be allowed to provide outdoor dance parties by the beach, and we do not want to risk future events due to bad behaviour.
This a family-friendly event and as such we ask that everyone be mindful of those around them, be respectful toward each other and enjoy these 2 hours of dancing joy.
Any untoward behaviour will not be tolerated, and anyone posing an issue will be removed from the event.

INCLEMENT WEATHER CONTINGENCY PLAN
Rain – the ultimate nemesis of all outdoor event managers!
As we prepare for our much-anticipated Silent Disco Under the Stars, we closely monitor the weather conditions in the days and moments leading up to the event.
Inclement Weather Impact:
Due to the unique nature of our Silent Disco Under the Stars events and the specialised DJ & headphone equipment we use, it’s crucial to understand that our events cannot proceed in rain.
Notification Process:
In the event of rain, rest assured that we have a plan in place to keep you informed promptly.
All attendees will receive notifications via SMS and email regarding any potential postponement. If you don’t receive a notification from us, it means we are ready to dance! If you have booked tickets for friends and haven’t provided their contact details during the booking process, you are responsible for ensuring they are informed of any postponement.
Timing of Notifications:
We understand the importance of providing advance notice in case of cancellation. However, it’s worth noting that Queensland weather can be unpredictable and change rapidly. We will strive to give you as much notice as possible, but please bear in mind the dynamic nature of the weather in our region.
Rescheduled Events:
In the event of a postponement, we are committed to rescheduling the event to a later date, typically within a month. The rescheduled date is contingent upon council approval and venue availability, but rest assured as our event is a council-supported event we are able to confirm a new date very quickly. Your tickets will automatically be transferred to the rescheduled event, ensuring you won’t miss out on the experience you’ve been looking forward to.
